Santa Barbara Fiesta Parade 2022!  This is one of the last parades and is the biggest equestrian parade in the world!  Hundreds of horses walked across Cabrillo blvd, the main street that parallels the beach for miles.  Thousands of people come to watch at the beautiful horses show off, and the owners can receive praise for all the hard work that goes into taking care of these majestic beasts. 

  I came ready with a film camera, my nikon f3 and and my new i phone to get some video.  When I got near the event it was so crowded I had to walk about 6 blocks just to get in the area.  Tons of people were everywhere and it was a hot day.  Lots of tourist around and floats in the street filled my first views of the parade.  Then multiple families came by with all their horses, each wearing matching colors and symbols.  Many of the horses had long hair all the way down to the floor.  Some of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen before.  I stood in this one area for a bit but moved on toward the pier where the news was filming and performances were being performed. 

  Near the end of the parade they had local services come by and the firefighters put on this great show!  They had this old fire truck and were doing tricks on like holding on the wheels and going with the truck!  Also there was a lot of water being sprayed in the ground and that felt incredible on that hot day.  The parade made me miss out on not seeing a couple of the other events during the week, this year I will be checking out a lot more events this year!
