Baja 2022In April I caught a train from Santa Barbara to Tijuana taking this route along the 101 that went along the ocean most of the way. I met my brother and nephew in San Diego and walked across the border for the first time. We stayed in the zona norte area just a 30 min walk to the border from where we stayed. It was my first time actually staying in Tijuana and the beach there was my favorite spot to be. There is the feeling there that you can slow down and just do whatever you’re doing without having to have plans for the next moment. Along the street and beach of Rosarito and Tijuana there are tons of obvious beauty but I enjoy capturing the hidden beauty in the moments and scenes out there. Truth is obvious and hidden in the faces of the people, each living a life worthy of its own novel I’m sure. This was the first time I had really travelled since covid, and gave me the urge to want to see the world and all its hidden truths again.
